Really wasn't quick at all, not counting all the years he spent on the DTP bench...it started when Duffle Bag Boy came out in '07...the two Playaz Circle albums didn't really blow up or nothing, but solidified him in his core base (south and midwest trap rap fans) and garnered a fair share of hood club anthems (Hold Up from the 2nd album is a classic IMO)...When Gucci and Tip both went to jail, he came out and said there were empty spots left in their absence and he was gonna go and snatch it...he started putting out solo mixtapes and did just that...the Trapavelli's further blew up on the trap rap scene, started hitting that south/midwest hood club touring circuit...Codiene Cowboy blew him up bigger...and Tru Realigion got everybody looking...shyt took about 5 years and the classic example of grinding paying off...Kanye didn't come hop on his tip until after he had already made himself hot and it was "trendy" to be a fan
