Religion is such a weird construct. To preface, I'm a deist and basically, I believe in intelligent design but that's as far as it goes. There are rules and barriers and rationale (mostly scientific) to everything around us.

To my point, creating us alone is the ultimate flex, as far as humanity. Why would a god have to then create some other shyt on top of that like Satan and religion.

I've stated this before but take the story of Job. So, you are meaning to tell me that god and satan used this man's life in a game of high stakes bragging. Basically saying, go ahead satan, fukk up this man's life, he won't denounce me = I can shoot a man on 5th avenue and not lose a voter. I see no distinction between the two. Job's kids died, wives dead, property lost. No matter, he got new ones. So, these human lives were collateral damage in an eternal dikk waving contest. I get new cars, I get new video games, I don't just go out and cop a whole new wife at Wal-Mart.

Ultimately, I became a deist by reading the bible.

Actually Book of Job is very interesting. Some believe the epilogue , where Job regains everything , was added onto the story much later and by a different author. Also Job has words that aren't Hebrew that haven't been deciphered. I think job was a myth built on top of an older myth from another civilization; like most things, the Jews borrowed it and made it their own.
