Yup, it’s how you get grafted in. The focus on us brings others together

We keep trying to tell people about shyt like this

But it gets called “wasted opportunity”

I’m waiting for the day the model minorities get eminent domained, and their enclaves get turned into highways, hotels, parks and lakes so I can laugh like I never laughed before

Not for nothing, but I too would clown the fukk out of any community who trots this out to the mainstream public, knowing that most people are too stupid to think critically, and will eat this sambo shıt up as some type of authentic representation of rest of the members.

Does the Black community in America deserve any form of blanket hatred?

FUKK NO

Does the Black community in America deserve ridicule?

Well if we're not gonna demand better media representation, more from our children in their academic endeavors, more from our people forming stable families, less juvenile adults, less excuses and more solutions, more political tangibles, and just generally more from each other, then yes, the community does deserve ridicule. Especially considering we've started from and seem to be firmly entrenched on the shıt-end of America's stick.

As for the OP, wide-spread hatred of Black folk comes from generations of propaganda spread by both European and American imperialism. If you want a really succinct example of this, read up on Commodore Perry's expedition to open up Japan and see the images of the "Black Savage" they took with them during Perry's and subsequent missions, and how easily Japan and the rest of Asia ate that shıt up.
I understand especially with the bolded however I feel in order for this to meet its full standard African American history most be taught to our people in all its complexities from the trans Atlantic slave trade and it’s atrocities, reconstruction, Jim Crow, redlining, and the infiltration of crack in the Afro American community. Knowledge of self can take people a long way.

You know the best way to get better media representation?

You create your own. Black folks refuse to acknowledge this issue and prefer to beg for better representation and good intentions from white people:manny:

It can only come from us. There is no better outcome otherwise

That's only a tip of the iceberg of issues

It can't just be one entity, and BET hasn't been black owned for a long ass time anyway. Having our own media doesn't mean "we got BET News"

When I say media I mean all of it. Black people don't own any news, entertainment, or social discourse. Media is an ecosystem, and the owners of those ecosystems have all the power in the world
