A lot of people have left out assimilation. Over time, more and more people were told that they could be white or have some of the benefits of whiteness. Not like the world is united. Not like the Asians, the Arabs, and the Hispanics like us or each other for that matter so they aren't necessarily fighting the world or anything. the people were able to demand more money for their work and a new class of European people were born.
so Europe was able to go through the industrial revolution first....they had the jump.
