Both are good to great actors. Denzel is classically trained, and Will learned as he went on the Fresh Prince.
Watch the show from the beginning to the end. Night and day difference.
The real benefit is that both actors exude charisma. Like it's damn near tangible when they're on screen.
The grimiest thing about Hollywood is that if Will Smith was white, they'd be trying to groom his successor right now.
He made major dough on movies that any other actor would've seen minor box office returns for.
Hitch, Pursuit of Happiness, Seven Pounds.
Each made way more than they'd make under any other actor.
Hitch made damn near 400 million.
Happyness made 300 million.
Seven Pounds came close to 200 million, and that ish was trash.
Hancock made 625 million, 40 million less than the last Superman solo flick, and that character had no fanbase, no beloved history.
That was pure Smith putting people in the theater.
Hollywood should be tagging all the young handsome brehs they can to find the next Will, but they're too busy giving undeserving white guys shots at surefire things to bother.

It was the 90s brehs. Black male roles were far more diverse because the studios got hip to black purchasing power. The advent of cable/satellite TV did wonders for Black stars who wanted to crossover. Think about how groundbreaking the original Bad Boys movie was and how in the 80s nothing like ot wouldve been made
