Why didn't he just call K. Dot out by name or flat out diss the West or say he was the King of L.A.?

This the problem with you CaC rapgenius scholar ass fakkits.

He said doing numbers like it's POP, not PAC, nikka. :snoop:

Just the simple fact that you misheard & overanalyzed that line just to draw a maybe-maybe not conclusion that he's goin at Kendrick on this of all songs on the album makes your whole thread moot and invalid. :umad:

Just to be fair double entendres and subliminals often include words that sound the similar and could have double meanings when each one is switched out of the sentence

For example Jay-Z on Oceans

that line could easily be interpreted as Pac or Pop and it would still make sense either way, Drizzy just on his don't ask me how shyt

Verse I'm referencing starts at 2:55 in

Opened his 3rd verse with a classic verse from Bad Boy Artist, Mase (not a big deal on its own, but keep reading)

A not so sly diss at 2pac saying basically he's the best since Pac was doing it. (Drake saying he's the king of Kendricks coast, referencing Kendricks claim to be the King of NY)

We all know Kendrick got his big mainstream break on Drakes Album take Care, with his Buried Alive Verse, he basically shyt on Kendrick for "changing up" on him after he basically put him on to a whole new fanbase

Then he ended with another subliminal reference to Kendricks "MAAD City" (Where your grandma stay, huh my nikka?) By saying that his grandmother actually stays 6 feet under the dirt and to ask for blessings as he decides how he's gonna handle this young up and comer taking shots. He finishes it up by saying he's going "Back To La" to handle business (Take care of Compton artist Kendrick)

I know I'll get the usual "reach" replies and pictures of arms grasping at the sky. But I wouldnt be surprised if drake sprinkled kendrick references all over the CD, and many of them won't come to light until the album is out a little longer. Theres levels to this shyt :ohlawd:

On 2nd thought the whole hook could be interpreted as a shot at Kendrick. Kendrick "never loved" him and used him for exposure (Poetic Justice, Buried Alive) And now he's gonna be on his Worst Behavior

even if none of this is accurate stuff like this is why I love hop hop.

This is common knowledge, but correct. The more literal meaning is still "pop" though...:yeshrug:

Da city where the skinny nikkas die
Okay so lets remove the Pac/Pop line for a moment. he still made 5 veiled references to compton/LA/themes in Kendricks Albums/their relationship in a very short span of bars. So is everyone in here really gonna say it's some type of coincidence?

for what its worth i felt he went at Kendrick on Tuscan Leather

Tell me who dissin', I got some things that'll hit the culprit
Them strep throat flows, them shyts to stop all of the talkin'
All of the talkin', got one reply for all of your comments
