how\why the fukk did elvis presley sell so many albums?? Only michael jackson and the beatles have sold more albums.
His singles were counted as units as well back then and he had A LOT of singles.
They say Elvis is the biggest selling artist ever, with the beatles coming in a number 2, and MJ at number 3.
I did some research a few years ago (which is how I found out Elvis' singles sales are counted as unit /albums, but it turned out that MJ is actually #1, the Beatles are 2nd...............then Elvis.
So, yes, MJ has sold more albums than anyone in history.

He’s the biggest selling solo artist BUT he released A LOT of music. Like, A LOT. So did the Beatles.
MJ is really the only impressive one out of the bunch because he did similar numbers with only a third of the material.

Tons of white artists have done that: justin timberlake, jon b, robin thicke, adele, hall and oates, etc,etc why did elvis sell more albums than the other white artists who did the same thing he did?
They (whitepeople) also inflate Elvis' numbers tho. When he did a concert in Hawaii, they claimed it was the mostly watched event in TV history......it wasn't. The moon landing was the most watched even at the time. However, the moon landing views were Eclipsed by the MoonWalker during his memorial which is now the most watched event in history.

i just explained that to you. what year did justin timberlake come out? now what year did elvis come out?
I think MJ has him beat in that department too.
Elvis sold a lot of EP's, which were counted as albums too, but MJ sold more full length albums than anyone. The Beatles is the only act that rivals MJ.

So was frank sinatra. Why did he sell more than sinatra? The girl were crazy for sinatra when he became a solo artist in the 1940s.

Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis put a white face on Black music. Record industry was able to market him in a way that they wouldn't/ couldn't the Black artists with 100 times the talent and charisma that Elvis had.
