I don’t think he’s mediocre, however, for some reason he gets scrutinized a lot more than the rest of his rap peers.

It would be a blessing if dude was at least mediocre. But he's so goofy bad, that he ruins damn near any song that he appears on.

He has no sense or feel for music or the tone of a song. He just tries to spaz out with the goofiest bars & voice known to man.

Somebody mentioned that he almost died and had to learn to rap again. Is that a real thing? At least that would be a good explanation of what happened to dude.

Thats apart of it. Plus He tries to approach every song hes featured on like Redman from The Dare iz a Darkside era where he goes far left on a feature. Difference is that shyt worked for Red and Red only

eminem fell off the when he mistaken that "cheesy puns" could replace "lyrical bars" without proof to reguide him on what to do, while everyone else yesmens him to get back in the studio

I always thought Eminem was full of shyt whenever he said that. I mean, he was two hours away from dying (after the overdose) but he always said that when he was doing Relapse, he was teaching himself how to rap again. That album doesn't sound like he's feeling himself out. The serial killer concept, bending words to make them rhyme, the different flows he used. If that's him teaching himself how to rap again, then he's way too hard on himself.

I don't think it's a coincidence that he dislikes that album so much, or has mixed feelings about it. Since then, he hasn't made anything that sounds like it. I get him avoiding the accents, but everything else he did on that album, he could have easily done on Recovery or MMLP 2. I don't know why he thought screaming, punchlines, and chopping up his flow was what he needed, but I seriously don’t know if he can help it. He might actually be incapable of doing anything besides what he does now.

He probably listens to his older albums like :scust: because he didn't stretch out the rhyme schemes enough or speed up his flow so he could cram some more bars in there.

It started on that shyt he had with Drake and all them...

He was on there with a bunch of ehh punchline rappers...he heard his non-punchline ass verse next to all of theirs and ever since he's been trying his hardest to incorporate punches in bunches on everything. shyts don't hit because the way he sets them up be trash and the references themselves be super trash. Ya man got them Leslie Neilson in Naked Gun "I aint takin no shorts so piss me off and I'll spray the poles / cause like a midget at a urinal, I always stay on my toes" ass punches, lol. And the triple time flow every song is obvious, don't even gotta complain about that.

I've always said this. That Forever verse was the pre-cursor for the 2nd half of his career.
Yeah that was the first time he displayed that twista style shyt. I hate fast rap amd always have. That verse was cool cuz it was a different sounding Em and he had hella energy. It got old quick.

He also ran out of things to complain about. If J and Pusha can talk about moving weight, Em need to talk about being a fiend.

He don't really go outside, so his pop culture ref references come off real corny. One of his best verses recently is the fat joe verse. But he wasted that verse talkin about Nick Cannon, which made it corny.

Beat selection is an issue too.

It’s simple really his team are all yea man

he refused to work with any outside production the majority of career and when he was really hot he was “producing” his own beats which all sounded exactly the same

and the fact is he was better on drugs it is what it is

Now at 45 he started working with younger producers

nikkas just admit you don’t like him.

Dudes flow is crazy in pocket and he’s the best rhymer. Do y’all listen to to the lyrics and patterns? :mindblown:

Yes he’s TOO technical but he doesn’t want to dumb down shyt for idiots. Y’all must be young.

He doesn’t want you to dance to his shyt or even vibe. He wants to show how he’s the best at RHYMING WORDS.

don’t worry about that shyt
