No more Bass Brothers. When left to his own devices, Eminem is just one of those rap nerds that cares purely about lyrics and wordplay while giving no thoughts to music. The Way I Am came up on my playlist at the gym recently and it just showed how far he's fallen...cuz that song right there was probably the closest ANYBODY has come to channeling that Tupac energy since 1996 and now he just makes nonsense.

And of course, the reaction to Relapse like others have said.

I’ve said this before, and he’s said that he finds it hard to come up with things to rap about. However, in my opinion, he can absolutely turn into the boogie man again If someone really rattles his cage,

I never felt like his problem was that he didn't have anything new to talk about. Revival had new topics for him to talk about. His problem is half the time, his music is sonically unenjoyable. He focuses way too much on what he's saying and how many rhyme schemes he can stretch out instead of the beats and the flow/delivery. At this point, he's like a really good technical wrestler who can't cut a promo if you paid him.

I remember reading an interview where he went back to MMLP and was thinking that he could have extended some of the rhyme schemes. And looking back on that interview, his priorities were in the wrong place.

Thing is if that’s someone’s opinion, you don’t have the right to take that away. You can disagree with it, but that doesn’t mean you are right either.

yeah but it does make his opinion more valid. If I said relapse was the best Eminem album ever made and argue the shyt but I didn’t hear ANY of the others, you know damn well you wouldn’t sit there like “well that’s your opinion”. Opinions can be dumb too.

Running around saying Eminem is the best of all time when you can’t name more than 15 rappers that ever rapped, makes your opinion full of shyt

There was a lot of similarities to Pac and Em at the time. Both had the anger and extremely controversial. Both made their life an open book in their music.

Both created a connection to their fans which is why they sold so much (and why they both have crazy stans:lolbron:)

Like my mans said. Everybody has a right to their own opinion, but you have no dog in the race if your knowledge is limited

Him not beefing with his moms and baby mom hurt him a lot. I can’t speak for no one else but those were the only topics I cared to listen to him for. Now with that removed u just got ramble bars which I fukkin hate.

If it was content that suffered you would have a point

he sounds like trash, it has nothing to do with what he's rapping about, his flow is wack, his voice is terrible, the man is trash

ironically the only fall off I can compare to this is Canibus because he was the exact same way, his voice got wack, his flow got wack and ackward

I’m simply stating what he said in an interview. As I mentioned before, the scariest part is that he can go back to being the boogie man if someone rattles his cage.

Em stopped working exclusively with Dre and the Bass Brothers. Em is not musically talented he only knows how to rap.

Dre and Bass Brothers knew how to guide him musically. As wack as Encore was, it sounds better than Revival.

There are many theories floating around as to why Eminem stopped working with the Bass brothers. The one that is head and shoulders above is that he allegedly didn’t want to compromise his sobriety. If that is the case then I prefer him to be sober and healthy than to be in an environment where he relapses.

I don’t really argue about albums because again it’s opinion based. I understand that Eminem has a wide fan base and in my opinion he attempts to cater to all.

In my opinion attempting to argue with someone about their opinion can also be dumb too..

Still waiting for you to provide the evidence that Snoop was born in Detroit…
