How did Evil Dead (remake) get great reviews?

I really dont understand how some one who never seen the originals, trash this movie when its a remake and stayed true to the trilogy. The camera angles, one liners, all was there. The only complaint was the movie didnt familiarize viewers new to the series about the book of the dead like Army of Darkness did. Its movie made for the fans.

i really don't get y people who aren't fans of horror movies go watch horror movies..i'm not pointing out members in this forum but i've seen people who were like "THIS MOVIE WAS shyt THE CHARACTERS WERE SOO 1 DIMENTIONAL AND PLOT WAS STUPID" then i'm like

its a bad movie, it might do the original justice but that alone doesn't make it any better..... if i goto a street fighter remake, i dont want it to do the original just, that shyt was trashso you saying it was a bad remake

breh anything sam raimi is pure co-sign for me (Cept the spiderman movies)...evil dead trilogy is puree piff...drag me to hell

..sam raimi da gawd..haven't seen the evil dead remake yet but with a sam raimi and bruce campbell cosign..i can understand why most of og evil dead fans can fux with the remake

Straight truth here.
I think the real problem with everyone complaining about horror movies lately really does go back to Cabin in the Woods. I think it was seriously misunderstood. The movie was intended as a satire for true horror fans, but nikkas out here treating that shyt as the gospel, and the guideline for how all horror movies should be made.
shyt is ridiculous.
