Straight truth here.

I think the real problem with everyone complaining about horror movies lately really does go back to Cabin in the Woods. I think it was seriously misunderstood. The movie was intended as a satire for true horror fans, but nikkas out here treating that shyt as the gospel, and the guideline for how all horror movies should be made.

shyt is ridiculous.

not only cabin in the woods but pretty much every horror movie gets shyt on for not being "story driven" or having "complex characters"..go on imdb and every horror movie is in hte 6 and 5 scores..you rarely get movies in the 7s or 8s besides a few horror classics..oh and even though cabin in the woods wasn't scary..i think it was just an ode for horror movie fans..there are soooo many easter eggs in that movie :gladbron::gladbron:

I finally got around to watching the remake, i like how they swerved like the blonde chick was gonna have the ash role with the chainsaw for the arm and it wasnt her

and what was with that bruce campbell cameo at the end, is he gonna be in a sequel or was he just in it to satisfy the hardcore fans?

It was entertaining no doubt but I gotta admit it was hyped and they pretty much showed the craziest scenes during the trailer.

I kept waiting to see something that would top what I saw during previews, but that didn't happen and when stuff did pop off it was kinda light on the "I Knew that was gon happen".

Wife and I peeped it in theaters and thought it was solid. We're both fans of the original and thought it did it justice for the most part.

Cats saying Bruce Campbell showing up at the end, was this after the credits, cuz I don't remember seeing him, lol.

I don't recall the last scene with the girl killing the monster during trailers and I figure that part topped everything in the trailers.:yeshrug:

It was a remake that was very respectful of the original, and it was good (or at least entertaining) as a horror movie in its own right.

I was gonna mention the final scene but I didn't want to be the one to spoil it for anyone reading this thread. Yeah it was up there in the gruesomeness but I've seen worse in low budget movies like the Wrong Turn series. My wife and I are big on horror movies btw, we watch em all.

Word. My wife's big on horror/supernatural movies. I'm just big on movies period.

Never got deep into the Wrong Turn series. Only scene the first one and that was mainly cuz of Eliza Dushku and some chick I was hooking up with wanted to watch it.

The Wrong Turns are aight, check em when you get a chance. Each Sequel does try to add a bit of comedy to it but the kills are very graphic.
