Remember back in 01, Rocafella was basically the largest outfit in town outside of Shady/Aftemath Records and the gap wasn't that wide. Jay-Z was making crazy money, plus he was bringing up Beans, Freeway, Kanye among others. He had basically been touring non-stop between Hard Knock Life right through the Blueprint era. Rocawear was basically the new FUBU, I remember reading an article saying the company was worth north of 50 million dollars, so yea, he was raking in the dough, plus, he was making money of his numerous hits.
