Shavers might have finished him off if he would have been more patient and connected once more but big ups to Holmes for even getting up from that bomb. Larry was a great heavyweight in a bad time to be champion but he was legit and would compete and beat many all time great heavies if matched up in their prime.

Yea that was some wild shyt. Larry Holmes has one the toughest chins of all time. If he couldn't knock you out he could beat you in a war of attrition.
