How did Lloyd Banks go from Powerful Charisma to Zero Charisma?

you missed the point of the thread like the avg rap fan who don't understand the technicalities of making music. Obviously duke wasn't talking about his bars, charisma =/= bars.

His charisma and vocals did go down as the years go by.

His charisma and vocals did go down as the years go by.

Voice changed completely, lost 80% of his energy and his whole style got boring, he can get as technical as he wants, but he was better with more energy.

I never knew someone's voice to change do dramatically.

Yo can you break it down for us "average rap fans" then instead of just being dismissive? You're basically just saying you liked his voice better back then, right? Or am I missing something? SMH at "charisma" being some kind of technical category you can measure empirically.

I've never been a huge Banks fan, but personally I think back then he was mad generic sounding and now his style got a lot more distinctiveness/character to it.

Charisma can make or break a rapper. Look at Lil Wayne, he can rap the most avg bars on the planet but his charisma and delivery will pull you in. Banks lost his voice and charisma a while back. He can still deliver line after line, but they lost the impact they once did years ago.

No one wants to hear a boring artist. If you don't sound confident on ya won records, why should we?

They tried turning up the pitch on his vocals on a lot of his tracks to liven up the vibe and it worked most of the time, sometimes it was obvious and failed. I feel bad for him at times, because he can rap his ass off, but his voice is going to get worst and fukk him over. Hopefully it doesn't happen.
