While other rappers are following trends Nas keeps giving the street medicine. The streets needed "life is good" in this era of recession, war and political paralysis, the streets needed "daughters" in this era of demons in government, wall street and the streets. They needed "Hip hop is dead" to rejuvenate creativity in the streets. The streets never needed oochie wallie though. :wow:

Lol @*end of recession or Life being better for the streets than it was in 2008.
It might be better for people holding equities, us debt and bets on indices. But in the streets its the same ole thing.

I agree with hiphop is dead.

he's not lived in New York for years :leon:
Does he stay in a Hotel or what? People still don't understand that Nas is a narrator 75% of the time and not the person he describes in his music after 18 years?
And I've got to say that line is one of the dumbest lines on the album, why would a smart man promote ignorant people to stay ignorant. And the following lines acting like his parties ain't filled with Hollywood people or that he wouldn't knock out nikkas for talking shyt about Hollywoods sweetheart.

New York is the only place with streets?...Not Atlanta or Kingston where he's spent time the past few years?

How is building with other Black men considered ignorant?

Especially when you're teaching them facts and coming up with a plan to give Saudi's their oil back?

I didn't know they were black men, he said gang members so obviously the emphasis was on them being ignorant/fukked up people and not black people.
And New Yorks streets are I would assume the only streets that Nas has been/can relate to. Lol @ the thought of Nas being out in 4th ward in Atlanta.

But you are right forgot about him being in Kingston sharing blunts with nikkas, I'll take my L and bow out for that :birdman:
