Man you just pointed out the hypocrisy of pro choice people.

The same person that says they're pro choice and life doesnt start until they're out the womb, would be the same person who would push for double manslaughter if a drunk driver killed a pregnant woman.

So yeah, the abortion rights debate is a fallacy.

Don’t you mean pro life?

Pro choice means you are okay with killing a fetus/baby.

Pro life means you want the unborn child to be protected.

Your statement needs to be reworded.

How is it hypocritical to charge someone with a a crime for drunk driving if they killed two people?

:patrice:

If your stance is life starts outside the womb, how can they possibly want to go along with double homicide in that situation?

The rise of the superevangelical movement in the 70s to 80s or so made it more political. My conspiracy theory is that it’s become a big deal lately because whites are afraid of their population lowering. And it gives them more voters and POC and poor people to oppress.
I’m 100% pro choice

My stance is that life begins at conception/fertilization

Me too.

Im all for just having the baby and dropping it off at the fire station if you don't want it.

But like you said above, the beginning of life argument is a opinion/belief.
A life outside of the body is the only thing thats concrete and everyone can agree on. Thats why im torn. I can't impose my beliefs on the next person.

The elephant in the room is that if the fertilized egg is not “alive” biologically then there would be no reason to “kill” terminate the pregnancy.

Abortion is just that; a living thing is killed.

If pro choice people would just come straight out and say that, then, the legitimate argument would be, constitutionally does a woman have the right to govern her own body and anything in it.

Unfortunately this opens up it’s own can of worms because if you legistlate that people do have full autonomous authority/rule over their own bodies then we can’t vilify or baker act the person who wants to commit suicide or blow themselves up in times square.
