There were way less Hispanics in the US back then. I would mention Asians too, but they were GOP leaning back then.

If I'm not mistaken, Reagan actually got less of the white vote than a GOP president today would. He got much lower margins in those redneck states like West Virginia and Kentucky than Trump did.

Back then, there was still a significant Union/Blue Dog white democrat vote out there.

Clinton was able to tap into it. Even Obama got some of it in '08.

Republicans had to dial up the Race War shyt in order to keep their hold. Popular vote is over for them but they can definitely win the House/Senate here and there. Presidency is all about the Electoral College because they'd never win it again otherwise.

Only concern for us is Latinos trying too hard to be white and voting like redneck white people.

Best way to avoid that is to make sure Latinos get educated in the 2nd, 3rd etc generation. More educated = less Republican. The newer immigrants eat that Republican shyt up since most have an irrational fear of anything "socialist" and love the message of "family values" and jobs.

It's like Madden '06. Black people got that Tom Brady/Peyton Manning cone of vision where we see everything. La Raza only sees like 1/3 of the field at best and makes decisions based on short term shyt.

Simple the black youth of the 80's and 90's really did not vote.
You did not see the increases in black youth vote until Obama.

It makes sense because 80s and 90s youth (that could vote) was Gen X and that was a MUCH smaller generation than Boomers, Millenials and Gen Z.

The percentage of registered Black voters does not equate to the percentage of the Black population.

Just for an example, 91% of registered Black voters could make up for just 35-45-% of the Black population in total.

I'm not sure why these things are left out or hard to understand.

Voters weren't as polarized. An overwhelming majority of voters saw him as the better candidate so they voted for him. Nowadays Republican means conservative and Democrat means liberal with no wiggle room.

Up until early 2000's, black democrats in Georgia could actually win state offices like labor commissioner, attorney general etc.. That doesn't happen anymore. And Georgia was whiter back then than it is now. A lot of it has to do with the rise of Fox news, right wing talk radio etc
