The first gen immigrants were put in the same hoods that black folks were in…..You can go to Any "hood" in America and please believe there will be an Asian run beauty supply store and 6 Chinese spots.
Most of the immigrants were people who had enough resources to be able to immigrate in the first place…. So the majority of them came from stable and somewhat successful backgrounds in their own country….
That adds to the reason they saw opportunity and established lasting businesses after building up money
Some southeast Asians are hood as fukk and stayed near poverty for generations though…
