How did the E survive in the mid 90s with those corny gimmicks?

This was the time when I first started becoming a wrestling fan as a young kid.....so I didn't know better

I thought damn near everything was great back then.....shyt was just colorful, corny and fun

Every time I think about how much I hate how the E is now, I take time to remember that there are kids out there who are watching it now, the same way I watched it back in the mid-90s

They almost didn't survive but they made it because just like now their main audience is children. I was a youngin at that time and even how trash it was I was still entertained. It's just like how we shyt on 90% of the product now, the characters aren't as "cartoony" as back then but they're still trash.
