How did they manage to mess up a Gears X-Com clone?

This seems like such a lay up for a good game. It’s sitting at 76 on metacritic.

As someone who you know, actually played the game it's actually really good and has one of the best black female characters in any video game.

It's a solid 8.0 the biggest downfall is that it starts to get repetitive towards the end gameplay wise

I found myself feening to jump on Gears 5 after every play session with this game.

I liked it enough. Got it on gamespass. I never finished it though

The characters in Tactics are wayyy better then the mainline Gears games though
