Because of the context homie. It was done to show how ignorant the practice was and how self absorbed actors often can be and how tone deaf hollywood can be. Plus you had a black guy there pointing out how racist it was the the only good black role in the movie went to a white guy. an australian at that. Come on @Blaze500 you're smarter than this

Lol at all the ppl copping pleas if there was any commentary being made it was on pretentious method actors who act like it's not possible to leave the character on the film set. They used blackface as an extreme to illustrate that but make no mistake played it up for laughs. At no part were they saying the act is not cool. Brandon Ts character was anti-everything so him being there hating commenting on RDJ's character meant nothing

I'm white, so I have no dog in this fight. If black people are offended by it :manny: it's a free country. Not that it means much but everyone I grew up with is black, and none of them seemed to care. Then again I'm not sure they even seen it.
