Trump is nowhere near as racist as the one in office now.....

Guy has been around more black folks than a lot of people on this site.

R. Kelly was staying at Trump Tower in Chicago while the whole situation went down........How many of you would let that man stay at your house with your kids around?

but on the flip side, the President today has been tied to Dixiecrats from the beginning. James Eastland and Strom Thurmond....Men who never wanted black people to have anything. So I guess reparations is coming from that man.........:francis: I guess we're expecting him to help black folks.....

He tabbed into the populist movement rethugs were too afraid to acknowledge. It started tea party. The GOP backed them clowns in 2006 and lost the office to a Black man as a result. Twice. While the GOP was ignoring the crazies in their party, the crazies were getting crazier. The GOP sat around while their base started to seriously believe Obama was Black nazi, muslim, anti-christ, hollywood elite, dictator, foreigner, and anti-american.

When Trump stepped into the picture repeating every thing the crazies were saying, he was attacked by the Liberal and Conversative media. This confirmed what those crazies believed for over a decade....the elites on Capital Hill don't goven in the interest of their constituents. It didn't matter that Trump was/is one of those elites. The other elites didn't like him and Trump elevated the voices of the crazies.

Now the GOP lived and dies by Trump and its nothing they can do about it.

It would take all day to explain it. The basics are the people who were against him didn't fall in line until the donors told them to though. As for the voters who like him he speaks in a plain language that people gravitate to. For others he's a cult like figure. For some he's not a good person but knows how to get conservative policy through. It is very complex and varies.

- Your neighbor has a bigger yard/car/prettier wife than you, so you hate them and pray on their downfall. You harbor anger but you're really mad at yourself

- You stayed in the small shyt town and didn't chase your dreams so you hate all the people that did. Your simple life is not romanticized in media so you are resentful and reminded of your failures

- You coasted on privilege and that fact that you think the country owes you something, and saw others come in grind and reap the benefits. Different looking people carving out a place for themselves makes you squirm. You don't want to share the pie because you never had to and never learned to, and you know deep down that you can't compete...

- Higher education, travel, and new experiences bring about empathy and greater perspective which comes off as elitist and "weird" to simple folks. You feel alienated by them and it's scary to leave your box...So being complacent is okay, right? Right??

- Ultimately people yelling, fighting, saying rude shyt, acting proudly ignorant and hateful gives you the warm fuzzies cause those emotions are primitive and simple, and ask nothing of you mentally

The modern GOP has basically distilled those human emotions and fears into their brand and Trump is the perfect ring leader for it

Because he is a conman that recognized that the Republican Party was ran by conmen who were exploiting ignorant White people. So Chump took over the co-op and now he is raising the price of the brick.

70% of the current republican party are 90s liberals who don't like how far left the left has gotten
and went Republican because they had no where else to go

Trump is also a 90s Liberal

This shyt is really far left vs center left the actual far right are extremist non factors who get shut down by they own party

This might be the worst take in the whole thread. :mjlol:

In the real world Trump won the Republican nomination by capturing the far right....but now in your mind he won the nomination by capturing 90s liberals. :russ:

Trump has ALWAYS been pro-rich.

Trump has ALWAYS been anti-taxes.

Trump has ALWAYS been anti-regulation.

Trump has ALWAYS been racist.

Trump has ALWAYS given lip service to patriotism.

Trump has ALWAYS not given two fukks about human rights.

Trump has ALWAYS given lip service to Christianity while not actually giving a shyt about it in real life.

No matter what party he was kissing up to at the moment, Trump's core positions have always been right-wing. You're just so confused by conservative white Americans that you think what would be considered right-wing at every other time in history and every other place in the world is somehow "center left" in American.
