How did you meet your S/O and where was your first date?

I had just got my hair cut and she was coming home from work. I had the top down on the Jeep and she was flirting HEAVILY for about 10 traffic lights. I slowed down on purpose. I Finally asked her to pull over and we talked and exchanged numbers. Our first date was of Univ of Memphis football game then we were able into the fair free w out tickets so we took advantage. After that we caught a live band from New Orleans at a venue on the strip. Now here we are 26 years later w 23 years of marriage under our belt and 5 kids.

Her family attended the same church as mine. I didn't know her well but seen her attend with her family often. About ten years ago, I was at church and I help give communion with the priest. As she was walking up to the altar and as I was standing there about to give her the wafer, I heard a voice as clear as day say to me "Invalid, behold your wife". It was the first time in my life that I heard the voice of God as clear as day.

From that time since, the stars aligned and we start running into each other at different places. Our first date was visiting like four or five consignment shops (she loves thrifting). She even made me pull over in an alleyway (I was so embarrassed) while she rummaged through some garbage (I live in a very wealthy area and there was furniture and some nice shyt that was being thrown out). After, we ended the night at an Ethiopian restaurant which was her favorite.

We're now engaged. Our wedding is next year. And on our wedding day is when I will tell her what God told me ten years ago, that she would be mine.

My fiance is a radiologist and comes from a good family. She makes great money but shes low maintenance and humble.

met : 2619 mckinney one uptown apartments... i was t-6 at juanita craft post office...

4 side of the station is basically uptown up to fitzhugh all the way to baylor ...

uptown part of 4 is heaux galore...

routes 23, 18 41, 34 the scenary :banderas: 27 was the worse part of the t-6 string... dirty drawls side of town on the otherside lakewood station

i did my help slip first since the route i i was doin only 5 stops...all apartments..

and the help slip was a bunch of cluster boxes on travis n boll...

did the help slip n

started on the route i was on route 23..

first stop one uptown... like 1:00...summer..


i get there broads galore.. stay in the apartments nerlen noels stayed there too..seen him everytime i did the route..



parked under valet spot...i look up nothin but ass....due to the pool bein literally the roof of the valet spot...

i get out unload the truck.. n i look up again

bbw ...smiling thumbs up n shyt .floatin like a big ass seal

..i giggled all coy like...

started on the mail and advos.. 25mins pass...

im wrappin up

loaded the dolly n locked the truck...

went back in ..im talkin to the concierge he laughin... like u know her.. nah.. i jus seen her in the pool..lol damn..

she came back... went str8 to fogos which literally next door in the same complex..10 steps u there...


ate ...what u doin later..

i always goto trophy after i finish my route...at the time ... then head...to my side of town...

she said well get finish.. go work out .. n comeback

her brother and my cousin were in the same grad school program and housemates for a while, her brother ended up leaving grad school to pursue other things


our first official date was at the state fair 6 years ago, we had hung out in group settings a few times before that tho

We met in the parking lot of a fast food spot. I saw her and I approached. I have a 4 step approach. 1- introduce myself 2) ask her name and age 3) state my reason for being there “ I saw you and thought you were very beautiful and I wanted to see if there was more” 4) ask for an exchange of number.

She said no to giving her number but she would take mine. I said “ no, I only deal with exchanges, plus if you get my number and call you will like me anyway- so let’s just skip a step.” I told her that if after 10 minutes of convo she didn’t like me I would never call her back. We then exchanged numbers.

We went to the beach- talked, went on the swings and just chilled under the stars in a warm Summer night. 25 years later- still going strong and still the best decision I ever made.
