When i was real young a guy my dad worked with had a black box, hed come home with the tape anytime from monday-fri depending on if they saw each other...wrestlemania 6 was the first i remember...that lasted till my teenage years when we got a cable box, friends would come over and split em....then my buddy got a black box for xmas from his pops. He didnt watch wrestling so we borrowed it from him on sundays. We still charged one kid and didnt tell him it was free

After those days were gone i stopped watching wrestling in college but caught the occasional mania. Since i got back into it around 07 it was stream life(except mania/rumble) till the network.

id catch wrestlemania a day later on youtube before it was deleted. i had ended up streaming when i found this site called SmackyourTv. someone snitched and got the site shut down. they had ROH live streams as well.

Sky started carrying PPVs in the UK when I was a kid... no PPV charge, but you had to have the dish and pay a monthly sub which my parents didn't even consider a possibility so I survived off tapes a friend of my brother's made for me.. first show I remember was Survivor Series '89. I used to get the Silver Vision tapes (should out the blue-stripe-tape crew) for every birthday and Christmas.

Finally talked my parents into getting Sky when we moved house... literally got it installed two days before the UK DAYTIME GLORY of Summerslam '92 and used to watch their Monday night reruns of PPVs all the way until I lost touch... during AE they started charging extra for the big events or UK specials so we'd pick someone's house and someone's older brother would get the beers in for us... Wrestlemania 15 managed to land on a night when my parents were away, ended up with about 15 of us crowded round my Dad's new TV, all about 17 arguing Rock Vs Stone Cold and getting our collective hearts broken by DX.

Had a break through the 00s and when I got back into it, it was all about that pwtorrents life, then newsgroups until the Network blessed us all. Now I'm straight Virgil for life... too legit to quit.
