Thing is, you can make some great money in industries other than trades as well independently...Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence content moderator, general contracting, real estate....all areas that solve our problems making good money without a degree..Incredibly so but schools will never push trades for whatever reason. It's not a godsend but if that was pushed the way a lot of normal HS curriculum is, instead of acting like being a plumber, electrician, mechanic, etc is valued less than just a plain HS diploma is insane.
And not only that, but showing them how to leverage it. A lot of shyt taught in school doesn't click until it's practical so you have the ability to also teach entrepreneurship, accounting, personal/business financials, etc.

No seems like about it...if you wanna get deep, look into the reasons why Lyndon Johnson signed ESEA into law into 1965...That is what allowed Federal Government to come in and shift the focus from trades and home economics to standardized type testing and white collar curriculum..then have Bush Jr making it 2X worse with No Child Left Behind Act, then Obama with Race to the Top...basically making the purpose of Education to exclusively work for corporate CACs and not create anything..Obviously this hurts African Americans the mostseems like when schools started integrating they slowly stopped teaching life skills type of stuff like shop or even home-ec and they started teaching people to be subservient employees.![]()
