How different would the world be if Japan had become communist after WW2?

:ohhh:
Let’s say after WW2, instead of America defeating Japan, it was the Russians, and they installed a North Korean style communism and closed the country off to the world.

How different would the world be by now? Think of all the Japanese culture and technology we enjoy. Would some other country have filled the void?

crazy that this damn near happened if US didn't drop the bomb, it was supposed to be a joint invasion with the ussr from the north n the us from south.

Prolly woulda been a Korea or Vietnam situation
The scumbaggery of Russia is just :mjlol:

I kinda admire it because America has done scumbag shyt too.

North Korea wanted to invade South but Stalin said wait as US was still occupying.

Russia cracked the codes and found out USA didn't find Korea of enough importance that they would use nukes and Stalin was :mjlit: .

Russian officers were involved in battleplans during the Korean War.

Does that mean we also lost south Korea?

The design of cars and video games would be different but as far as the culture I would have do some research.

Also animation would be whack.

Having Japan as a friendly country to NATO has been a GOD-SEND for the United-States because their industrial complex delivered a lot of technology for military industrial complex. Especially avionics.

Japan is not part of NATO but they are just a semi puppet to the americans since WW2.

While Russians have mastered the art of making highly maneuverable aircrafts, even MIG founders have admitted the one thing they lack is the higher quality avionics that NATO weaponry have at their disposal. Still odd that Russians were the first to produce high off-boresight missile lock and launch technology, tho.

Anyway , it would just be more balanced IMO.

:wow:if you think China is big headed now, imagine if Japan turned red under Maoism (not soviet inspired communism) or, like many "true communist states", worked towards and maintained their own roadblocks to communism.

"(Japan) doesn't have to say sorry, you had contributed towards China, why? Because had Imperial Japan did not start the war of invasion, how could we communist became mighty powerful? How could we stage the coup d'état? How could we defeat Chiang Kai Shek? How are we going to pay back you guys? No, we do not want your war reparations!"
