How do Black Christians rationalize the history of why they are Christian?

Nobody beat Christianity into me.

Its what my Granny believed, and her Granny before her, so it’s what I believe too.

It’s not the religion, it’s how you use it to better your own life.

You’d know that if you actually had someone that loved you that wasn’t devilish.
So y'all were christians before y'all got under that boat and brought here, right?

It was passed down. But then I learned that Christianity is a black religion. All Abrahamic religions are black religions. So I'm good.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks

I’d like to see a source, but interesting if true

The money collected by Churches pays for maintenance, mortgages, insurance, gas, lights, etc., along with funding programs for the poor, salaries for employees, and other necessities. The only Churches making a 'profit' are Megachurches. The vast majority are non-profit (by Law), losing money, and tax records are freely available if you want to know where the money they get goes rather than focusing on how much they receive.

And no - im not an atheist at all. I fully believe and talk to God/The Creator/higher power daily, just make my own rules of life with him, and do my best to be a kind person to everyone.

I don’t subscribe to any man-delivered religions or messages.

But how does everyone (my family, your family, etc) just gloss over the only reason we as Black folks follow the Christian religion is due to being beaten into it through Slavery and Colonialism. (Talking about the majority of us Americans, Caribbeans, Africans, not any ancient Ethiopians or whatnot with their own form of Christianity)

do we all just ignore/not even look at history?
Black people were Christian before whites

I grew indifferent on Christians and Christianity. I’m not King James Version of Christian anymore. I’m not Christian at all. I just believe and live as close to righteous as possible. I watch free porn and masturbate here and there.

Christianity is bullshyt. Yall need to check your roots to see if you are a Israelite. Its not a religion. Its a bloodline and the Bible is our history book & laws to live by. All these other races high jacked our book, land, possessions, and heritage. They gonna have to return us all our shyt they stored up in the Vatican and be our slaves when the Messiah return.

for folks confused, indifferent or opposed to christianity

consider this:

who made you? and how were you made?

then consider:
if I can be made in this way, who and what limits it?

if you do not believe in the word, then you are at the mercy of the earth which underneath all appearances is still undifferentiated water.

If it wasn't a black religion as you claim, would it matter?

That's a different thread. The OP is saying that black people shouldn't be Christian because it's a white religion forced on us thru slavery. That's not entirely true. And my response is to that.
