How do brehs discipline their dogs?

I just adopted a 2 year old dog back in march. I had to train that fukker to walk on a leash without pulling by constantly redirecting his energy until he started following me like he supposed to.

I got a crate in my basement, and when I go to bed, I simply tell him to "go in his house" and he goes down there for the rest of the night while I go upstairs and go to bed. I don't even bother closing the door. then he comes back out when I wake up in the morning to go outside. I also tell him to go in his house when I am gonna be gone for a while and he will simply go down there and chill til I come back. if I'm gonna be gone for not too long, I just leave him in the crib. but I quit closing the door on the crate, cuz there's no purpose when he will simply stay down there when I tell him to anyways.

I use to fukk up my dogs but learned a better way. It just made me more frustrated and then more fearful of me. Now i trained them through positive reinforcement

Train them. It takes a lot of time and energy to do so, which is where people fukk up. That, and not researching the breed. I have a rott/black lab puppy and he’s smart af. I also have a chi/lab mix and she has a very good temperament and if I ever found myself stranded somewhere I would want her by my side.

It’s not just taking direction that you as an owner have to work on. They also have to be socialized from a young age or they can grow hostile to strangers and other animals therefore becoming a huge liability. People get a puppy and find out later on they are too much to handle, but it all comes down to the fact that you get what you put in like any other animal.

That said, I also have a jack russell and he’s a hardheaded mfer. But he isn’t that bad, just annoying to deal with sometimes.
