Its a fair question I think though, I mean I use to to REALLY be in wrestling as child. I had a Hulkamania weight set and everything
But once I found out it was fake, it was pretty much over.
I tried to fight through it but knowing that the outcomes are all pre-determined, all the storylines are made up, the blood wasn't real and neither were those chairs. The refs always having their backs turned or being distracted while the tag team partner is doing something illegal. It just got to be too much.
Whenever I see someone throw a guy towards to ropes and he bounces off of them and comes running back full speed I just
I stopped watching around the time that WWF transitioned into the WWE. So I was able to witness the greatness of Young Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Andre the Giant, Jake the Snake, Ric Flair, Ted Dibase, etc...
But I couldn't imagine, watching or following it as an adult...
But hey, different strokes for different folks, I could say the same for people who are really into Superheroes and Comic Books as an adult too so...
I don't want no beef with the TSC tho, just throwing my 2 cents in
In professional wrestling, blading is the practice of intentionally cutting oneself to provoke bleeding.[1] It is also known as juicing, gigging, or getting color.[1] Similarly, a blade is an object used for blading, and a bladejob is a specific act of blading. The blood in pro wrestling is almost never, as often suspected, theatrical makeup, but actual blood, and the scars borne by longtime pro wrestlers are real ones.[2] The act is usually done a good length into the match as the blood will mix with the flowing sweat to make the wound look like much more blood is flowing from it than there actually is

Think about it this way imagine if Floyd Maywether was as cocky as he is now but lacked the talent (i.e getting knocked out consistently). He would lose what many fans love/hate about him and be a mere laughing stock to the sport and fans. Wrestling would find ways to "protect" Floyd's character and find ways to minimize the hit his credibility would take from a single or multiple losses (i.e. having people interfere in his matches to help him win). The keep that element that makes fan love or hate him.
The Rock became popular because of his funny catchphrases and humor. The WWE was able to create and harvest a crossover star by allowing the Rock to be one of there "best wrestlers" or main star. If this happened to be a legit wrestling or MMA style fighting and the Rock couldn't handle himself in the ring he wouldn't be where he is today. I wish I could convey it better then I have. That's the best I can do.
Why do grown men watch Love & Hip-Hop?![]()
