You have the melody in your head and play it on the piano.
The keys on the piano match the notes and vice versa...

To get started, most people usually learn by knowing that every other note, is what goes together.
So if you start on A, then ur next note will be C or E
Thats good for happy melodies and shyt
but if u wanna try a different darker sound, den u can start on minor notes, like D#

The first thing you need to do is learn the notes and match it to the keys. Get the simple melody and then add to that as you learn more. Different styles of music use different chord progressions that are more common for that type not necessarily rules.
Piano is pretty easy to learn. Once you learn notes, and how to read music you can basically teach yourself anything.
Can you hum or beat box? If your not tryna learn how to play that's the best you can do. Go to some one who can and say "I got this dope melody it's like da da da dahhh dadadadada da da da dahhh dadadadada and the best is like boom boom ting ting boom baboom ting ting ting boom boom ting boom baboom ting ting ting"

When you're a kid your mind is a sponge and you have the ability plus the free time to learn stuff like music, languages, etc. We older now and we can't absorb the information + when do we have the time?
