I DJ, so I'm not new to this. I tried to start a record label but my main artist got arrested.
Do that and use the money to fund your music career. If you can clear out $24k-120k a month (which is a wild range. you have to scope better imo) then you shouldn't be in any rush to sign.

Spend that money on marketing. Get a site, pay influencers to listen/review your music on YouTube, pay nikkas on tiktok to make a dance for it. If you can't do either of those with your music then your likelihood of getting sign is already low considering those are key engagement points

Earn $120,000 a month?

I've never seen anyone do that.

If I did that for a year, I would invest the year's funds, work a regular job after that. Two years after that, I know investments where I could live comfortably off that for life.

  • Don't have to meet deadlines
  • The suits take like 15 percent of sales
  • Instant album releases

Am I'm making money...lmao, but I'm a dreamer :wow:

I think about releasing albums on Bandcamp and promoting them on YouTube. I don't know how well people do on there though.

I have been doing it off and on since 2017ish, and made like a few dollars. Since you got a big following, Bandcamp is essential to get heads to recognize your work, while labels may knock on the door. Some of my favorite beat makers and artists thrive off of the platform alone.

Tupac. Biggie. And Madlib.

I like your Rocket Launcher joint. It's original, empowering and dope!

Stay making music.

Try to complete an album, with completed art for CD and vinyl.

That way you have a physical product.

When you hold that product, I'm telling you - it's a great feeling and can't be compared to anything else!

And I say this because I've experienced it over ten times like here

Admiral Crumple on Instagram: "Admiral Crumple - Nightmare Fuel CD or 2GB signed Usb card (with mp3s and album art) - $25US + shipping via PayPal to admiralcrumple@hotmail.com Thank you for everything @cagewm !!!"

Stay on your hip hop. It's your contribution to this world.

I have ten thousand views on YouTube, just music.

And I was thinking of a few more points.

Brother,

1. By all means stay creating your hip hop for life because you will see you will have a passion while many are dead inside past 30.

2. Go hard! But look at all facts including the cash profit you make.

3. If you see it not popping by 23.

Build a strong well paid career you'll be interested in past 30.

I always worked. I have over 15 albums to CD, 500,000+ views.

The job I have now is good and I save every month.

I am currently looking to upgrade with new opportunities.

I've missed work opportunities but learned.

Sometimes I regret not building a specialized career in construction, or electrical work.

If you get paid $70, 000 year AND rap the whole time - you will be a sharper, healthier and wealthier artist than 90% of ALL rappers major or independent by 40 and onwards.

Good luck again and make great things happen!
