I mean yea you can find a ritual to conjure up a particular dark energy or feeling within yourself to make it seem like it's out of your control. The purpose of the ritual is to bypass the rational mind so it can anchor itself within the subconscious. The fanfare/routine acts as the bouncing ball/swinging clock watch.

But in truth YOU are the devil...the way to sell your soul is to serve your self, totally, ignoring intuition and conscience when they clash with what you want (not require).

Material gain and notoriety in this paradigm are usually gained to the detriment of others, because money "doesn't grow on trees" despite being made out of paper...

If this is indeed the game, and you wish to "win", you will at some point will have to ignore your heart.

The degree to which you are able to do this to get the money and the fame will determine just how indebted (enslaved) to your self image you are.

Taking this "left hand path" can actually be a very enlightening way to explore consciousness. Examining your own darkness is the ONLY way to bring light (knowledge/understanding) to those aspects of yourself.

Understand that some people without the money or power subconsciously feel like they require poverty and meekness to be "good". People are literally scared of what may happen to their moral compass if they were given equal resources and temptation.

The cons are the pros.

Using the legend of Robert Johnson as an example.

Pro- Loss of inhibition.

The "devil" took away his inhibitions. That vision allowed him to tap into a part of himself (shadow) that knew how to play that guitar without interference from conscious thought which makes plenty of room for uncertainty, doubt and convention.

Con - Loss of inhibition.

Once you feel what it's like to let go, to drop away from the conscious experience, from the judgment of self and "others" and fully taste moments of creativity without filter you don't want to go back to having inhibitions even when they are necessary.

He supposedly died from getting his whisky poisoned by the husband of some woman he was fukking. This is the point where you realize (or should have) that maybe some inhibitions are needed.
