How do people decide to be plumbers? I mean damn...

I live in an apartment but my family back home had a septic tank backup a few weeks ago. Dude came out to replace it but shyt was leaking into the yard...


This got me thinking about all the toilet backups across the country

Half the time, they're on call too so they might get a shyt-call at somebody house at 4am

Shouldn't they wear hazmat suits or something?

Plumbers make damn good money and the vast majority of their jobs don't require getting in contact with sewage. This is from speaking with them directly.

Plumbers make damn good money....my cousin is a supervising plumber and works for Cal State Fullerton....he brings home about 80k if not more plus he has a lot of side jobs....lives very comfortable....

I remember a few years ago my pumpling got backed up and it cost like 600 dollars to get it fixed. Might have to deal with some unpleasant things, but it pays well.

Most plumbing work deals with piping.... especially in houses before anyone moves in which is called top out iirc. That can be dirty work but.....whose afraid of a little mud? That's why you have boots. And after the foundation and cement is laid you don't really have to worry about that. Pex pipe has even made that easier. You can run that shyt anywhere as it's flexible.
