There's your problem right there bruh. $7200 a year on a car note? What do u drive, an Audi? U need to get something humble and put away at least half of that. My car note right now is $180/mo and that's only cause I put down extra.
i was tired of having used cars.. finally wanted to splurge on something new with no worries.... i'll be trading it in at the year mark... definitely not worth it to get me from A to B

U should prob sell it on your own breh

They will rape u on the trade in, u will never make that money back.

A decent humble used car will be just as good as a new car. And u can get some nice things.

debt is a mothafukka and the more money you make the more access to debt you have. I know someone that makes easy 6 figures that is just holding on. Not broke, but if living paycheque to paycheque.

Lot of people don't realize a lot of people living it up are leveraged to their eyeballs

I know a guy who makes between 130-150k and he has less than 10,000 saved. He has no kids btw.

And hes been making 6 figured for 4 years :snoop:

Some people blow all their money.

No kids no wife then I can see this happening and enjoying life. Imean what does he really need to protect but himself.

Now if he was married with a couple kids that would be irresponsible...

I run my own business. I used to accept checks, I do accept cash and credit/debit. (I fix iphones) You have no idea how broke people are. I get bounced checks, declined credit cards, etc you name it. People dont even have 200 bucks to their names, but have the latest iphone. Their lives are a series of poor decisions, one after another. Ive been broke before, those college days having 60 bux to my name. fukk that, being broke makes me stress, worry and not be able to relax. Every decision I make in life takes into consideration of )never being broke again) Which means do not do stupid shyt. DWI.DUI, putting dikk in crazy, etc.
I havent fukked up. lmao

Brehs, I have been unemployment twice in my life and thank Godd it happened.....

My 1st job (after my last stint of unemployment) was working a $17/hr (didn't get paid if I didn't work; No holiday pay; roughly $35k/yr) job. Even then, I save approx 25% of my check. The first stint of unemployment changed my thought process making me want to save.

My next (and current) job, my salary increased considerably but, still, I live as though I make that same $17/hr. Though my expenses went up nominally (i.e. new house and car), I save roughly 40-45% per check. My wife is onboard with my thinking as well cuz she sees my endgame (stifle any struggle with preparation).

Any "brokeness" I experience is a self-imposed "brokeness."

Fukk the Joneses!

Bruh the scary thing is so many people are in the hole so long they are used to it. That stress is just normal for them. Both me AND wifey's parents are BASURA with $$$. My pops had the potential to be a multi millionaire.... hes broke now and working to pay off back taxes and he's gonna be 70 in a few years :damn:

Financial stress is a bytch and for a lot of people its easily avoidable

Im with u bro

Next step is to fukk with investing. fukk with those 401Ks (that 1:1 match :ohlawd: ), get with a financial planner, play on the markets a little tiny bit. But the fact that u are saving is the most important thing. Getting to that next level is a steep learning curve... I'm trying to pull all this shyt together now, but it's worth it mayne.

Saving has always been in my blood. Like you, my parents sucked with money esp once I realized the importance of $. I learned what NOT to do by watching them.

Planning the next step myself. Gotta move a previous job's 401k to my current and get that extra 5% match:damn:. Hate the feeling of letting money go to the wayside. It'll be moved in the next 2 to 3 months tho with a pending salary bump.

Sidenote: I love going into stores looking "regular" and associates looking at me like:rudy::mjlol:. Happens all the time. Beautiful feeling to know you could pay their salary for a year or so.:jawalrus: Just cuz I don't wear my wealth, I don't deserve your help?:pacspit::camby:

Still... to make that and not save anything is not smart. He could be out if a job tomorrow and then what does he have? Save save save. Invest!
