Man I always wondered what in the hell is going thru their mind when they making the beats.....dudes listen to a song, find a small 2 second part they like and turn it into a whole different thing.....amazing....
How do these producers find these obsure samples?

it started at a young age for me.....I was in band in JR high.....and was always able to pick certain arrangements out.....it carried over to producing as well......I never thought that it was a gift but it is.....

it's obviously a kids record from the 70s or 80s about metric weight.
You literally goto a record shp or store and just cop different shyt. Some producers cop shyt just cause the album cover looked cool or whatever.

you always hint at being a decent name producer are you a professional producer tho does it pay ur bills? have you worked with big names?
there are actually guys out there or listen and buy records find samples and then producers pay them to find shyt for them. I can't remember the guys name maybe its the dusty fingers guy? he said hell find a record with a dope sample and give it to producer then they pay him I think I read.
I also remember reading how kanye actually listens to tons of shyt while in the studio. Sometimes hell listen to like 3 cds untill he finds a good sample. Think I read that about live fast and die young for ross.

Ive worked with big names before and and yes it does pay the bills.....I was very lucky to get the opportunity after I graduated from college back in 2001....and yes there are other people out there who do the grunt work so to speak and they are compensated for their work....although they can be fukked over at times....
