We do need unity.I would like to see the camaraderie that was seen back in the 40's and 50's between black men and women occur. But I just feel like the puns and stereotypes WITHIN the community have provided non-stop destruction to our progress. "Light skinned vs Dark skinned", "crab in the barrels", "sidepieces becoming normal", "men not being there becoming standard", etc. We STILL doing this shyt. Honestly, I feel like I can't be cool with a lot of black men (on a personal level) because many of them still using "nikka" in everyday langauge, are STILL uber defensive of economic empowerment and education for our people and STILL doesn't fully grasp the importance of being a cultured man. I'm off the "im just doing this for..." shyt. I'm doing this to get ahead. Everything I do is for my future kids and improving myself. I don't know how we can get ahead but I'm here for solutions
edit: most black people would probably say this shyt is lame or "it ain't gon work" type statements...why are we so negative man? It's infuriating and mind boggling. It's like these dudes and females (esp younger) are robots..........hmm

I feel that thats top 2 most damaging things we've done to ourselves, and its the single most thing that pisses me off. Even my home girl in a non profit w me... spends half the fukkin talking about hoodrats and so called thugs etc... and ignorant kids.. we need to educate not criticize.. 68 years on nonstop lectures hasn't helped us yet

It's called a family for a reason breh. These affairs can cause you to lose your home, your wife, your kids, your health, your finances and in some cases, your life. Most all these guys have them and I can't respect a female who has been one.

If you're single then just be careful about who you choose to deal with. A lot of these women are setting men up and robbing them. Happened to 2 other friends of mine and i've heard about many similar stories. But even with that, we really need to get to a place where we can have monogamous relationships once again. Do you really want to mess with a female (vice versa for brehettes that may happen to read) that's just got her back blown up just the other night? "Nah, but im hitting it and I KNOW she not messing with anyone else".
while that may or may not be true, the relationship is built off of sex and with sex, babies and stds are born. Would you raise the sidepieces child if she happened to get pregnant? Even if you are, the relationship is based off sex for most part. My rule has always been "if i cant see her as someone in my future, i'm not fukking". We all shouldn't be focused on getting the high paying slave jjob. Even if we have a job, everything we do everything we think should be to build. The older generation has failed us and led us into the church path of civil rights and integration .... lol and the only thing we integrated was our sexual organs and money.... we are still second class and still stigmatized in the media. That stigma wouldn't be so bad IF it was followed with real shyt like racial politics, medical testing, community redlining, opportunity disenfranchisment, the new jim crow prison system, drug war, etc etc.
So we got fukked over by the old timy blacks, they rejected Malcolm x, khlid Muhammad, they thought of black Panthers as radical... we listened to people saying to be more like white people and show them love and eventually they will like you, etc. NAACP hated Marcus garvy and even told the feds to arrest him. In the 80s and 90s they really went to war on us with drugs and drug laws... and started developing new age c00ns (the c00ns u never see coming)....
So the only choice we have is to build the youth.
Every one will have a different role and opinion on whats important because we have maddd angles to hit.
Me personally, I have a tech program just because u can't wipe ur ass in the future , let alone build wealth w o technology.
And guns and self defense. My opinion on this I guess is too much for yall but we all should be trained and armed. My 5 year old daughter is learning wrestling... and when my son turns 12 imma take him hunting and camping. In the hood.... hood nikkas mainly attack their competition only, so... mainly we just need community policing to keep shyt controlled, kill child predictors (causes a bunch of shhit like whores), and to monitor the police etc.
I hate all those stories of mike brown and travon.... those boys should be alive the cacs should be dead... we have to do better.

Maybe I shouldn't and you stop acting like a person that can't read. This is what I fukking hate about messageboards at times. I type something and people like you get all up in your feelings. Its a messageboard don't tell me a question about what do you think about black people should do to improve should be individualized. Its not about hey such and such individual has a problem how,can we help him. Its a general fukking question so you get general fukking advice. If none of this don't apply to you fukk it but don't tell me its stupid just because you all up in your feelings and must want some different version of help. That's what I think would help a lot of people and what I see holding people back. I'm pretty fukking sure I said anybody not just black people. So again stop being in your fukking feelings and read with understanding before criticizing my post incorrectly as fukk.

I recommend you all check out Neely Fuller's work, he's completely reshaped my ideas of what racism/white supremacy is and one of his most profound statements is in my sig. the videos below are cartoons that have been added to his voice as he doesn't give any video interviews, the cartoons make it easier to listen to his message for people who prefer visuals, but I suggest you check out some of the audio only interviews as well because he goes into great detail explaining the system of white supremacy, how it operates and how we should behave in it as non-white people.
