Isn't it possible to say that you feel the killing was justified and logical yet be opposed to the means in by which it was done?
So you're opposed to justified and logical? Again, so you would have done what instead? It's one thing to be opposed to something but then at least offer up better solutions.
I think using some form of gas to place the man unconscious might have worked. I was mainly talking about the use of robots or drones. I'm against having a militarized police force. I think it's unconstitutional and sets a dangerous precedent.

He could have had a gas mask, he was talking about bombs, he could have rushed them and taken out more etc. He was prepared (body armor, weapons etc) This was a different kind of situation. He was a threat, threat got handled.
This.
Wish there was more focus on neutralizing threats in a non lethal manner.
I agree wholeheartedly.
But I want to make it clear here that I feel the police was justified in taking his life, I'm just opposed to having a police unit using C4 as a weapon on an EOD bot.
Next thing you know we have weaponized drones flying around our cities for "safety"
Weaponized Drones For Law Enforcement Now Legal In North Dakota
Drones can now legally fight criminals in the United States with non-lethal weapons thanks to a recently amended bill in North Dakota. The law’s author, Representative Rick Becker, originally wanted to require police to secure a warrant for drone surveillance.
But, then local law enforcement managed to sneak in the right to equip drones with tasers or rubber bullets by amending the original prohibition against lethal and non-lethal force to just limiting lethal weapons. Becker worries that this new franken-bill will have dramatic unintended consequences
