I put it like this. If I needed an engine for my car, I'd want a rebuilt one over a new one. What if the new car engine had a recall on it? The rebuilt engine would have been fixed, and it would be cheaper

Years later, how long did they last?

Still works like a charm, girl uses it to record videos for presentations at work

Funny this got bumped though, I bought a Logitech wireless mouse /keyboard combo the other day refurbished from Amazon (new one was only $10) more ended up returning it for being a dud, one of the few refurbished things I've had issues with

Apple refurbs are so dope. Save a whole bunch of money and comes with a year warranty.

Got a Macbook Air and an iPad for a decent price.

I've gotten a lot of tech stuff for cheap as refurbs. I've never had a problem with the items I get, but rarely buy something with a short (0-90 day) warranty unless it's super cheap and not critical.

I have a refurbished Chromebook, a refurbished desktop and when my Backwards Compatible PS3 got the YLOD, I'm pretty sure Sony sent me a refurb there as well.

I wouldn't buy a refurb for my first laptop/gaming console/desktop, but after I get used to a product, I'll buy the refurb to save money and still upgrade.

So Cal
I've had mixed results. ps3 died and sony sent a faulty replacement. shyt would overheat, one summer air went out and i couldn't play that shyt til after 7.

bought a refurb Samsung 3d Blu ray player from tiger direct. shyt would freeze and make loud ass clicking noises.

bought a refurb Samsung Blu ray surround sound system from amazon and that shyt worked great. would freeze sometimes when screen mirroring but it wasn't a huge deal.

I usually buy new, but tbh, manufacturer refurbished items usually go through a stricter quality control inspection than they normally would fresh off the line.

depends on what kind of warranty they offer. 90 days kinda short. I'd make sure to run it through a torture test in those 90 days

Yea but XBOX was known for that. I actually gave away my PS3...always worked no problem

I'm thinking about it
