Like the title says... How do yall feel about producer about producer tags on beats?

Do yall think it's played out of putting a producer tag on the beat or do you feel as a producer, that it's mandatory to put your tag on your beat to help promote your brand?

Mfs are blatant with theft.

The other thread on this which was made in March asking about putting beats on YouTube explains it. That thread alone fukked up my algorithm.

People are stealing beats from everywhere. If you put a beat online as a producer you are best Putting 30 seconds of it. Nothing that loops and enough that showcases the variety/sections/breakdown or chorus and hook and still have that shyt tagged because mfs will take your 12 seconds and loop that shyt up.

I used to “steal” beats from YouTube…well all I did was rap over them I never sold that shyt

But it sounded basura anyway because I didn’t get the wav or track out instead I decided to reach out to the beat makers for the proper file and paid them for it as they should be

But the important thing was that it was a learning process on how to make music the proper way once I got feedback from people i know telling me me the sound quality was :scust: due to compression I changed my perspective

Cheating and stealing beats will not get you far…

shyts different now. Or at least feels different. Seems like it's easier with programs and tools to equalize, sample, and master even dog shyt audio.

And far is relative. Because even you don't even have to be an audiophile to listen to "what's hot"

It's safe to say your beat isnt going to be something amazing. But shyt like this gains traction. You might get 10000 views, you might get 100,000 views or more. Multiply that by 5, or 10 different songs.....

Even if they had a dre quality beat all the mumbling and adlibs would just ruin it.

I hear some of the shyt these cats listen to and there's no moments of silence or pauses it's always filled with rapping and adlibs.

I remember in rap where if a rapper said something really hard he might now say shyt for a bar or two and let the beat ride.

You got adlibs over the raps and raps over the adlibs, one rapper rapping while another is ad-libbing and shyt all on a beat, and a lot of that shyt is mumble + autotune or whatever they're using now.

I feel old "turn that shyt off! You can't even understand what they're saying "

Pharrell’s 4 count tag is legendary

This is art at the end of the day not a billboard…so as long as you tastefully incorporate into the art I think its fine
