That's the go to but it never works for me
I've built a roster since but I still think about her every now and then, but I only deleted her number around a month ago and was still in contact so that didn't help.

Honestly I never really had to deal with that. By the time we broke up I was emotionally gone anyway. I'm a fukking weirdo anyway. Once I get to the point where I don't care for you anymore there's no hurt feelings. I can ignore the fukk outta you with a good heart.
