How do you convince black developers/software engineers to work with u?

so I'm coming to y'all and asking directly.

I live in Atlanta and have talked to black developers/software engineers that won't make that "jump" be poor for a minute to get rich later. However I have approached white dudes and they are hitting me up to this day trying to work with my company.


The focus is minority oriented and tech based. Search mbe's basically none are technology focused vendors now and it's ripe for us just to make like 30-50 mill a year.

I really want black developers/engineers but at this point my time is limited and the white boys are down bc they see how profitable it is.


How do I convince black engineers to work with me?

I actually know a contact in Washington DC that is part owner of a minority-Owned IT firm. It's him (black guy), a white guy and an Asian guy. Gotta get help where you can but I know you want to help the community.

It's not a black or white thing. Hard to convince people to leave an established company to pursue entrepreneurship.

Can't you get a loan or credit being that it is a minority owned business? Make a LLC and get funding? That could be used to staff people.

Respect what you're doing, but it's not in the culture. These dudes don't want to be their own boss, they like stability, so why would they want to disrupt their stability for the sake of your cause?

It's somewhat illogical for most black people, white people do it because they probably have saved their money correctly or have the support of their parents or actually believe in your dream.

That being said, Simon Bolivar did not win South America with Columbians only, some of his greatest men were English or Irish. So don't let nikkas stop you from pursuing your dream in its entirety, there's enough black people in Atlanta and if they can't see your vision then leave them behind because at the end of the day it's not a black or white thing, it's a green thing.
