I was last severely depressed when I was about 21. I didn't handle it too well. I don't think I even left the house for several weeks.

I think just being sad, I listen to music...for hours. Or delve back into my books. It's amazing how much I can forget about what's upsetting me when I'm into the world created by the book I'm reading.
Long walks really help. That sounds cliche, but I've walked through 3 entire towns before I even realized it.

I don't think telling someone to "cheer up" or telling them they need to get drunk works though. People who are depressed seem to be misunderstood a lot. And often feel neglected by those they love. It's hard to know what helps. Sometimes they need attention. Sometimes they need to be left alone.

If you're depressed, I'd recommend going to a counselor of some kind.
yeah i find long walks and music to be therapeutic in a way.

I don't really get depressed, but if I'm in a shytty mood I just go and jog, listen to music or paint some :flabbynsick: lookin' pictures

The thing I don't do when I'm in a bad mood is smoke tho. Nothing sadder than miserable stoner :scusthov:

Write down my feelings (no solutions though). Odd because I write hoping no one finds them but a small part of me wants someone/ anyone to inquire and/or find the papers.

Lately, shyt's been heavy.

Depression is strange but powerful.

Main thing is to stay positive.. When u start dwelling on all the negative shyt or start regretting shyt it makes it ten times worse. When u realize your wasting valuable time feeling sorry for yourself is when u can snap out of it. Start fresh in a way build confidence and stop thinking all is for not.

travel, it doesnt have to be somewhere exotic, if you got a car drive 2 hours north, south, east, west for the weekend and just get away.

If you dont have a car, hop on a train or a bus.
