No, I dress pretty decent I suppose, slacks, button down, neatly groomed, expensive cologne etc ...there's no logical reason NOT to sit next to me.
It's not to justify anything, it's an example of a larger picture ...the kid never even mentioned her race, psychologically race probably isn't a large factor in his life, but he says at the end of the video "she's know for calling the cops". Suggesting she harasses youth and racially profiles them, their response is most likely reactionary.
The human mind reacts faster than its own logic, laws are abstract ...adaptation is is engineered by the mind and body.
I used to think the same way. Then one of my (white) coworkers said I looked like I was about to whoop somebody's ass when he first met me. I realized my gameface is just too serious for some people.
I tested the theory and started smiling more and realized that was likely the cause. But I'm back to the gameface cuz I no longer care what people think (now that I know the cause) and I don't want any of these youngins trying to check me on the Metro.

except for this scary old cripple cac computer repairman whom I've been trying to get fix my pc these last few days I usually have the opposite problem ie..for some reason white people feel too comfortable around me to the point it gets annoying...I can't name how many times I felt disrespected by cacs invading my space by standing all up under me or speaking to me unprovoked..i wish I had ya problem breh

Perhaps you are displaying an uncharismatic aura without realizing it. Or perhaps it's just racism.
By realizing that you can only control your own actions and behaviour, not other people's reactions to them. And by internalizing the millennia-old adage, "a wolf/lion doesn't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep".

Has nothing to do with them "wanting" to sit next to me ...it's more about avoiding an option because of the color of my skin. There's a difference.
I guess I "feel" your and other black's pain when u experience light weight prejudice situations like this (this is pretty weak IMO) but its bout time for blacks to realize these white folks never wanted to be around yall to begin with. The government forced us to integrate bruh. It's 2014, deal with the fact most whites don't want to be around you. I just don't understand whats so hard to understand after seeing the history of this country.

I wish I had that problem. I don't want people sitting next to me period. Sometimes if I wonder if I'm not intimidating enough. Even Asians don't seem to avoid me.
