Gotta love doing what you do.
This is all it is.. Or for a real need or goal.

If you working a set wage of $9 at Macys yea you probably not motivated to do 45 hours a week instead of 40.

But if you work at like a corporate office and you need 2 extra sales to hit a $5,000 bonus, with 3 days left in the month, you going to do what you gotta do to get them sales done. Even if that means staying around a few extra hours a day

for someone like me? I run my own promotion company, if I dont promote/work, I dont eat.. its that simple :heh: I do shyt through out the day, but im pretty much on my phone answering texts/emails/calls through out the day/night. The only time I "clock out" is when I sleep and even then I got a million things to stress/worry about so sleeping a lot of nights can be hard to do.

 to youngins thinking owning/running a business is all vacations and kick backs. You work more when you own your own business than you do working a regular 40 hour job (until that business runs itself down the line and even then that might not happen cause thats rare). It seems like people who own businesses are happier or it doesnt seem like work, cause like mentioned in here a few times, if you run your own business it should (unless investing) be something you actually enjoy doing.

There is nothing more important than a good nights rest. It sets the stage for the productivity of your day. Your mattress should be firm, and your spine straight. Legit start there.

Excellence is a lifestyle, not an instance. You approach everything with that mindset.

this song right here is some etherous, soul crushing shyt.

It should be a lot of nikkas alarm clock song.

even if it scares the shyt out of you every morning. "GONGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Breh, rarely have songs ever spoken to me so directly. I remembered 10 years earlier, thinking "High schools almost over. Almost time to start life:blessed:"

Yu Gi Oh. ACTs and SATs. High school parties...I was like this is cool, but I can't wait for the real fun to start.

Then in 2007, when I graduated, the economies ass fell out. I couldn't find a job for almost 2 years. Finally got one, and the shyt didn't pay well.

Flat forward to 2012, im panicking cause while scraping pizza sauce and cheese off the oven, I realize while I didn't have a plan for how my life would

turn out, it wasn't making just-above minimum wage working in a place filled with high-school kids with more time to realize their potential than me.

This song CRUSHED my soul cause I was living that shyt. At some point I lost sight of goals and just worked...ended up running in place since the end of

High School. I'm almost 28 and im in a mad-dash to fix what I broke by being complacent for years. Never had a girlfriend, haven't purchased my own car

yet, never made a trip out of town with friends, never did the spring break thing...I realize I fukked up, and somehow for 6 years, it didn't bother me.

Pink Floyd told my ass the truth that summer.:mjcry:

ok, whatever you say bruh :mjlol:

i ain't gon argue over somethin' that pertains to common sense. you and i know that at the end of the day, you need sleep :russ:

you can troll this shyt all you want and while people can go a few days (on maybe 3 to 4 hours of sleep) without gettin' a good 8 or 9 hours of sleep, it doesn't last before so long until you body gives in and you either collapse or get sick. the human body ain't made to run without proper sleep but for so long, bruh. :aicmon:

Not all people need to sleep in cycles of 8 - 9 hours. Back in earlier human times some people would sleep in cycles of 4 - 5 hours.

I read on a lot of these rappers and how they work 12 hours a day. How did they bring themselves to doing this? Is there any advice you can give?
 That's marketing, foo'

You really think people like Nick Cannon are working non-stop?

These people's assistants have assistants. Don't fall for it.

You gotta be about it. Also it depends on the goals you're looking to accomplish within your work/outside environment and long term. For some people, they want to save money, grow a business, network, pay off bills, it really depends on the person. There have been a few times where I have had to work 90 hours within a week and this week is one of them. It really takes discipline.
