A dude in my building getting sued and they put the papers up right in the lobby for everyone to see.

And I know it's not a situation where he moved out with no heads up cuz he still lives there...and it's a co-living arrangement where you're just responsible for your rooms rent so I know he didn't get screwed over by a roommate. They just been letting him bum a room for a year and just now evicting :mindblown:

State and Fed govt.s provided protection, resources and help for renters during the pandemic.

Some people are just irresponsible.
That's what I'm thinking but he had tobhave been legit delinquent for a while especially for the owners to get so petty lol

How much is monthly rent, ie how many months worth is that 11k? From what I've read, a lot of people are behind 3-4 months and aren't getting evicted due to how bogged down the courts are. But of course that's a risky game to play because once the judge signs the eviction notice, the sheriff can come at any time (after whatever the pause period is, be it 2 days or whatever).

It doesn't really benefit most landlords to evict you, given the mess of finding tenants these days and the increased security deposits required. If you can catch up or stay in contact, they will work with you

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
How the fukk?
I got 12k in unpaid parking tickets in Manhattan. :manny:

But I ran a delivery business and most of my routes were in New York. It’s easy to rack up tickets because there is nowhere to park. Fed Ex and UPS have a deal with the city and get a discount so they tell their drivers to park wherever.
