This is how I face my problems head on..

  1. Acknowledgement: I need to see what the problem is
  2. Honesty: I need to be honest about my role in regards to the problem
  3. Take responsibility
  4. Forgiveness: I forgive myself for my role in the problem
  5. Let Go
  6. Imagination: I imagine myself and my life without the problem, and dwell on how that looks and feels.
  7. Repetition: Repeat step 5
  8. Problem gone

:blessed: I literally do this

identifying the problem is the first thing, or identifying the thing you want to change.

This. Then working towards a solution.

"Problems" are subjective so it could go a million different ways.

But if something is bothering you, identify exactly what it is and gradually work on bettering it.

Sounds cliche and corny... but it'll help clarify any muddled/confused direction you may have.

:whew:

OP this is the best summary of the process.

Of course, it's much easier said then done.

Thankfully, it gets easier as you repeat it.

self- fulfilling prophecy?

I think it could even be deeper. I found the root of a lot of my problems is insecurity, not feeling good enough, not stacking up, so that manifest itself in A LOT of different ways. I used to act out to stand out..I just to create a hole for myself just so I can dig myself out of it and come out stronger to people....Almost attention seeking.....once I get back to that root, I clean out those foul thoughts

Maximum honest is the key. Even if you risk seeming like a "bytch" to yourself. It is what it is, embrace it, and move on.

that sounds like me. but instead of getting out the hole to seem stronger i just say fukk it and keep digging myself into a deeper hole.

how do i go about fixing this low self esteem tho. theoretically i should have self esteem and confidence. my amateur boxing record is 8-3 so its not even like im a bad boxer. all my coaches tell me if i get my mind right i could go as far as i wanted in boxing. i just dont know how to get any confidence or love myself.

Honestly...you're probably dwelling on the wrong things.

I compiled a mental list of all the things I'm good at, and what I liked about myself, and what made me happy, what made me smile..What made me laugh...I kind of hoarded the feeling those things gave me and used alllll those things to dwell on...Not only would that pull me out of the depression, which is a breeding ground for low self-esteem, but it instantly gave me a lot of things i was actually grateful for...

So it was like...why am I tripping?.. Repeating this makes this second nature for me now. It really is a daily commitment. You'll trip up, but it becomes easier the more you do it.

You'll find it's not the problem that's holding you down...but your thoughts about the problem that's the culprit.
