The fact is if you ask most people to name the most influential "journalists" or radio personalities in Hip-Hop the majority on most lists will be non-Black people.

Perfect example: Ebro in the Morning, was considered one of the top shows in Hip-Hop. The main cast is barely Black..

Ebro: half Black, half Jewish (aka white)
Rosenberg: Jewish (aka white)
Laura Stylez: Latina (Guatamalan to be exact)

Sure, it's cool that Latinos and white people like or love Hip-Hop, and report on it. Angie Martinez definitely did some good interviews.

That said, it's absolutely NOT cool that someone who is not even Black, decides to withold 2 hours of conversation with one of the -if not the- most important Black artists in history. That's what I meant with "it's absolutely vital that we OWN the media that covers our culture"
