i see you're point about black people joining the military. We aren't even citizens and are repeatedly shown that we aren't wanted as nothing but entertainment and paid slaves.

However, some of the best amongst us... some of the people amongst us who are doing the most good---- got there start in the military. And Military black people know more about racism than you ever will. Only a few are c00ns.........the rest don't even tolerate it and only use their time in the military long enough to get an education or a skill. Some make a career out of it........... but for some people the military was better than being a bum, or being a street nikka or just struggling because you don't have opportunity.

Nothing in life is free for the most part. Military benefits aren't just some free shyt. If your company paid for your parking, tuition reimbursement, healthcare, and provided group lunch sometimes - are u gonna be like ... "Naw I don't want it unless u make me pay for it" ? No, because it's ur employee benefit.

to join the military takes a sacrifice... so benefits are provided. IT's more cost effective sometimes and more simple to have troops living around each other and getting the same benefits. Realistically the military provides a great, but not perfect, blueprint on universal health care and education. Anyway, point is, that's just the benefit... the benefit comes with a responsibility and the shyt is earned not Given. You have to work - and some more than others. When i was in.. I worked 14 hour days in 120-130 degree weather in a dessert with 80 pound of equipment with only 1 day off a week... and that one day was still spent hearing mortors drop n shyt............ so How can someone in that position feel bad about getting healthcare out the deal? A nikka making Chicken nuggets isn't his equal.

A kid working in fast food should be in school..... there is grant money and loans. If not then he could join the military. if he thinks the military is some c00n shyt, aight... but whatever he does and whereever he ends up..........that nikka needs to realize that we end up here cuz of our our choices, not cuz of guns to our heads.

I don't respect cats like @Blaxican707 , however, who look down their noses at people simply for being in the military on some superiority complex shyt. It takes alot to serve, however, I hate when cats act as if that isn't the job that they signed up to do, and nothing more. You have cats like ol dude who seem like they're in it for the personal glory and prestige more than anything else, like they use being in the military as a reason to flex on those who earn their living as if they too, don't deserve respect. Nobody is gonna voluntarily offer more money to a zero skill or very very low skill position. There will always be workers. raising the wage artificially harms everyone in the end. and if that happens, companies will just use technology to replace some jobs and fill the rest with people who accept market rate wages.

You shouldn't have just jumped in there before reading the premise of our conversation.

I actually laughed at this post. It's a shame, some of you guys are still hung up on the racism deal. Its true, there's racism in the military, but tell me one place that doesn't have it. The simple fact, that I was uneducated, on welfare and WIC with nothing going for me other than joining the military to now riding in a clean as whip, degrees, homes and actually enjoying what I do. I'm doing something right. And you hate me for it Like it pains you to dap a nikka up because he came up with something out of nothing... you really have that much hate Man I tell anyone who wants to listen, that whatever they are doing that is not getting them what they want, try something else.

I'm actually doing pretty well for myself, but what I can't stand are those who go out of their way to shyt on those earning a living, regardless of their position. There so many different ways to look at it. For example:

• You're right people in the army risk their lives VS. for what? to kill people who are innocent?
• Army doesn't hand them much money VS. They get so many benefits while McDonalds flippers don't get anything
• McDonalds doesn't require skill. VS. Most army jobs don't require any extraordinary skill either

dumb nikkas dont understand the problems that come alongside raising minimum wage at higher rates than inflation. people really think that if toys r us has to pay some dumb ass underachiever 15 an hour that they will still charge you the same prices for their products? or that that mcdoubles will still cost 1.19? hell no. so for the people who are making 15 dollars an hour now you have effectively lowered the value of their money and pushed them lower on the poverty line. companies will find a way to become more efficient so that they can fire all minimum waged workers that are not optimal for profits. raising the min wage that high will basically be like fighting to fire yourself

No where in this entire thread did I ever say anything close to anything suggesting they shouldn't be paid a living wage. I've said the exact opposite. All I said concerning this was no matter what happens, the fast food industry won't miss a beat, and won't be shutting down.

I can't call what's going to happen at the end of it all. If they get $15, more power to them, I think after an extremely long battle they'll settle it around 11 or 12 bucks with some kind of health insurance and a union. An industry this big definitely needs a union.

I never shyt on anybody fighting for more money. These CEO's make my yearly salary in less than a month, and I doubt they have to dedicate as much time or life to the job as I do. They can slice a little ham off the hog so people can eat.

The crazy part is that they have people so twisted up, that regular everyday people get mad when people fight for more bread. It doesn't affect them in the slightest. But they let the CEO's tell them that their burgers are going to be 25 bucks and they believe it. It's a damn shame.

And everyone going to school is a shytty argument because school is expensive as shyt, and from the elementary school to high school the education budgets are getting slashed like crazy, so a lot of grads are not college ready. It's a systematic problem, like 99% of America's problem. But there's always money to fight someone.
