wtf are yall talking about!? we in motherfukkin jersey every shot is 1 point in streetball and win by 2.....if we playing a rough (21 for u cacs) , every thing is 1, first made overall freethrow is 2 , every freethrow after that is 1.....to win 21 u gotta shoot from the 3 point line when u have 20. if u miss ur ass go back down to 12. u have to make that free shot from 3 to win the game

That's how we play.Games go to 15 2's= 1 3's =2
We play 33 where I was at. The first free throw (shot from the 3) made is 2 points. Regular points are 1. 3's count as 2. Every "free-throw" after that counts as 1. And similarly if you have 32 and have a free-throw to win you gotta make it or you go back down to 25. Thats why most ppl strategically would try and get 31 therefore they wouldnt get bumped down if they missed the ft.
We also played "taps". If you missed a shot and a person catches it and while still airborn shoots it back in and makes it you go down to 0. Get tapped 3 times and your out. My DMV nikkas know the deal
And id we was playing ass on the pole (pause) the person with the lowest score (or last person to get 33 if its a continuation game) had to put their hands on the pole and have each person playing throw the ball at they ass 
. This was when we were much younger and we really played it and even then it wasnt really enforced.With that said I think the op was talking about 5 on 5.

honestly its gonna be different every city u go to , it aint nothing to really sweat...i just adjust, doesnt matter to me , my squad winning anyway
It is pretty shytty that stepping behind the is double the points but that's how we play at the gym and anywhere else I've played. It's first to 15 or 11 if you have people. I understand what op is trying to get it at. It does suck when people are passing wide open five footers to dribble out to the three point line. Or when 6 5 guys camp out behind the arc playing dudes six feet and under.

1s and 2s......You gotta have 3s count as 2s.
I can't front tho, I've seen people play without 2s. I was playing a 1 on 1 game with someone and I was angry that they didn't have 2s in the game.....The guy I was playing against was bigger than me & better athletically (I'm 5'6, 130.....built like Allen Iverson but smaller....He was probably 5'8-5'9) so one of the ways I chose to win was to utilize my jump shot (which I used to beat him) but if my 3s counted as 2s I would have the game so much easier. It was first to 11 and 8 out of the 11 shots I made were 3s.....One I managed to drive by him, the other 2 were just regular jumpers.
