It feels so great to be the the fukking zone. However, we can only work so many hours a day and there is this fantasy about being a globtrotting, grind all the time, superman type of person. In reality, sleeping normally and working effectively is way more important than being 'on' all the time. Better to do the essential stuff perfect(more or less) than to do a bunch of mediocre work. This is a thread more about curiosity and discussion. How do you know you are on the verge of burning yourself out? How to do find the moment to really turn off? If you're like me, you have to make yourself relax and be a regular human.

It's not even all digital. For me, it's been more about actually socializing and leaving the house for the little things just to get a breath of fresh air. Deadass, I've found the best way for me to have fun is to play board games with folks or find a new restaurant. :ahh:

1/3: work your ass off
1/3: re-energize: spend time doing things you love and connect with those you feel best with, this in turn gives you energy for 1
1/3: take care of your life, sleep

I agree with @Call Me James Take a vacation day at least every two months just for no other reason to chill.

One of the best ways to stave off burn out is to keep in shape (exercise 2-3x per week) and get at least 6 (preferably 7) hours of sleep

Also, you need to realize that working smart is important as fatigue reduces your productivity. I found waking up early (5-5:30 AM) allows me to work hard in the morning, well during the day, and stop earlier since I don't feel a need to overcompensate.
